• Friendly Visitor Program

The Senior Assistance Center is recruiting kind, caring, volunteers to spend about two hours per week with isolated seniors living at home. Typical actives include: home visits and phone calls just to chat or to check on a senior's welfare; running errands, such as grocery shopping, either for or with a senior; assisting with hobbies or other special interests; reading or taking walks.

• Food Bank

Work on the distribution of food in our food pantry. Sort, and box food items, stock, and organize panty shelves. Volunteers are needed every Wednesday between 10:30A.M. - 1:00 P.M.

• Event Planning

Work as an event associate to assist with agency special events. We are looking for someone with special event planning and implementation experience, a positive attitude and willingness to do what needs to be done. Some of the duties will include creating and mailing invitations, working with the event site, monitoring RSVP's, creating and executing the thank you process and other duties as assigned.

• Light Cleaning

Provide light cleaning services to help maintain the cleanliness of our office building located at 2839 W. 44th Ave., Denver, CO 80211. Cleaning areas such as break rooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and food pantry area. Duties can be limited to the following: clean and disinfect tables, sinks, countertops, refrigerators, chairs, toilets, mirrors, floors, windows and phones. Volunteer times are flexible.

The Senior Assistance Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable institution recognized by the IRS. All donations are tax deductible.
